YES I DO but no seriously, he does. Peter starting relationship commentary is a little side-eye-worthy, since relationship commentary generally means nothing good. Not in the sense of "oh noes he's going to criticize us" because hell, Charles is pretty critical of the situation. But between 1960s societal views on homosexuality and the Marvel characters' histories and experience with Charles and Erik's future histories, if their personal life is being noticed, that is not a good thing. And fine, whatever, it will be what it will be, but Peter possibly bringing more attention to it by sticking his nose into their personal business is not a good thing.

And honestly, Charles is probably pulling away a bit from others on a personal level in general lately, as Charles and Erik are heading into a rather high stakes -- personally and politically -- negotiation period, which will be taking a rather lot of Charles's focus and emotional energy. It's not a GLARING thing, but someone observant who actually had a personal relationship with Charles would probably be able to tell that something is up.

Charles still would be chatting with Peter whenever he runs into him. If there were some October-ish monster-y thing going on or something, Charles would probably check in with Peter about it. He really is glad for Peter just to... be around.

So how long have Peter and Lincoln been together now? Any anniversary plans?
