PART OF THE PROBLEM WITH THESE MEMES is that we talk so much in PM that I think I am just regurgitating what I've already told you. Long story short: Lincoln loves Peter. Period. He is surprised at how strongly he feels and with the nature of their line of work, he tried (and successfully! for awhile!) holding himself back from envisioning any kind of future. Lincoln likes plans. He also knows how easily his plans can get shattered. He held back in part to save himself the heartache.

I think the biggest problem for him right now is that due to their fight a week or so back, he did have an idea of what their future could be like, and it was . . . really, really nice. At the same time, he's a practical guy. He knows things aren't going to play out nicely. It's actually pretty heartbreaking for him, which is why he got so fidgety and adamant, but he's now just repressing it as best as possible.

THAT ASIDE. He. Honestly, he can't see leaving his universe at this point, although that isn't really . . . for Peter's sake. It's more like— it's his home and because events have played out differently, he feels like he has a greater purpose on this side. The biggest reason really is probably that Robert's wife and kids are still alive on this side and like hell he's just going to abandon them, especially with a potential invasion in the future. :'D SO Lincoln gets a little frustrated when Peter goes "no take Jack to the other side!!" because screw you you don't know my life or Jack's.

(he hasn't really thought about having the talk about the future with Jack yet, probably because that conversation terrifies him.)

But Lincoln is okay with a lot of things with Peter. There's the Olivia factor, which is . . . honestly fine. He feels secure with Peter and I think there is this part of Lincoln that, despite the latter part of season four being that, loves Olivia and above all else wants her to be happy. He has grown enough though that he is not willing to sacrifice his own happiness for someone else's; in a way, being with Peter has made him be a bit more selfish, which he really needed. He figures they'll take it one step at a time and it'll work out.

As of RIGHT NOW ICly though, he is pretty darn happy with Peter, especially given that he, uh, fixed the October-ness for him. There's a lot of adoration there right now. WHO KNOWS HOW LONG IT WILL LAST, especially since he is repressing the above pretty hard and we both know how well that goes.
