Because that's what I do. I bite my tongue, I keep it to myself, I don't— talk about anything. You said I was a good guy once, after all of that. And I'm not, I'm just . . . protecting myself. In my own way, how I can. That's how I function. You can either deal with it and me until I figure myself out at some indeterminate point in the future, or you can go back to your workshop to do whatever it is you're doing this month.

I don't need you to take care of me. If you want to leave, then just leave.

If I didn't want to take care of you, I wouldn't be here. And the thing is, I have walls put up too. I keep people at a distance and it's easier. But I don't do that with you. No one else has ever gotten me like this. And it's hard because I don't like being vulnerable, even less so when I know I don't have to be.

And I know it's unfair to ask you to just get over your issues and talk to me. But part of me, the part of me that's still a selfish jerks, keeps thinking "I did it, so why can't he?"
